Sounds like a dead battery, bud, with possibly a bad alternator.

There is the possibility that you either have an old, weak battery. Maybe it's just not rated for the conditions either; I've had a few batteries "die" the first time the temps dipped below zero. Such issues are, in my experience, more likely a bad alternator. I've had three go in my day. Bad alternators can't charge a good battery ;) However, the last time I had it happen was even simpler. It started with slow rotation for a couple of weeks. Sometimes it'd take 20-30 seconds of cranking to finally fire. Then it wouldn't even click. THE STARTER WENT! The solenoid wouldn't pull out the gear or even click, and the starter motor won't try to spin unless the starter gear is out and engaged. The only sound I heard was the key turning. The alternator was fine; I'd tested it when the problems started. The battery was new as well. 375CCA @ 0F will leave you stranded so I upgraded. Everything electrical worked fine except for that starter.
