  • Mine has a wall painted in dark blue, and the other three in light blue ... it's very relaxing :)
  • I'm kind of tired of solid colors so I'd paint a wall that looks like a jungle or forest.
  • Blues and greens are known for relaxation. They say a yellow room causes a baby to stress and cry more. Red/orange leads to arguements and stress. Black is depressing. I have found that a light to medium blue or blueish green color to be the most relaxing which is what most people want in their bedroom. You can always use brighter colors for an accent.
  • I like peach and light blue combo, pale blueish green or light green.
  • Paint it brown. Brown works.
  • I painted our bedroom a brighter, bolder version of green tea. We love it!
  • I WOULD ADVISE GETTING OUT AND ABOUT IN SOME ACCESORIE SHOPS AND FIND AN ITEM YOU REALLY LOVE. BUY IT. WORK YOUR SCHEME FOR THE ROOM AROUND THAT ITEM AND BUY SOME CUSHIONS, PICTURES,VASES ETC.... THAT ARE THE SAME STYLE AS YOUR FAVOURITE ACCESORRIE.KEEP YOUR BEDDING PLAIN AND TRY AND GO FOR WHITE COVERS.DRESS YOUR BED WITH THE CUSHIONS AND A RUNNER/THROW.SELECT THE PAINT FOR THE WALLS USING THE COLOUR OF THE ACCESORIES.BUT DONT PAINT ALL THE WALLS THIS COLOUR USE A CREAM OR MAGNOLIA ON SOME OF THE WALLS TO STOP THE OVERALL FINISH BEING OVER POWERING UNLESS OFCOURSE YOU CHOOSE A COLOUR THAT IS VERY LIGHT.
  • hawaiian sky torquoise coral reef 6500 open seas 7664 steely gray these are all sherwin williams colors that i adore and seem to me would create a good atmosphere
  • I personally would go with lighter colors. I currently have a dark blue bedroom which was a quickie paint job because I only had a few days to move in. BIG mistake! I find myself being depressed and not having any motivation at home. But once I'm outside it's different. My old bedroom was a very light sky blue and I'm about to paint my room that color. In my old room I was always out and about happy go lucky etc. Or maybe I'm just losing my mind? lol
  • One thing you want to consider is the direction your bedroom faces;also, what part of the country are you in? warm climate, cool? etc... it's a little important in helping you select your colors....for example, if your bedroom faces north, & you're in a cooler climate, you sure don't want the 'cool' colors such as blues, etc., as, psychologically, it'd make the room seem even colder.....So it takes a little more planning than just selecting your favorite colors..
  • you should paint a color that fits ur personality! im thinking of doing spring green because it seems very energizing and im VERY crazy sometimes lol! light blue if ur usually relaxed and calm. Light shades of purple is good if u are like a night owl or a party rave kind of person. u have to be EXTREMELY careful with the dark cool colors like purple. if it is too dark for ur taste it can make u very tired and depressed. and i used to have my room DARK purple and i found it hard to wake up in the morning because it feels so dark in the morning especially if you live in newengland where the winters can feel kind of dark. so u should keep that in mind
  • Mine is a soft mossy green and beige. Boring, but relaxing.
  • Well , your bedroom should reflect who YOU are .. I'd suggest taking your TWO favorite colors and painting two walls one color and two walls the other ... OR ... on two walls, paint from the floor to half way up with one color and then from the ceiling down with another color ... Just a thought .... My nephew loves purple and black .... So; he painted his room STRIPPED ... Purple and black vertical stripes ..actually; it looks kinda awesome.
  • The important thing is to paint the ceiling the same color you pick for the room--NOT white like every other ceiling in America. People paint ceilings white because it reflects more light, but that's not what you want in a bedroom. We once had a living room with a fireplace and painted the walls and ceiling pastel green. It was the only room in my life I specifically think of as relaxing. The dining room was the same color, but not the ceiling--and it didn't have that affect at all! Now, lime green may not be what you want. After all, the darker a bedroom is, the better you're likely to sleep in it. But whatever you do, nix the white ceiling!
  • When i was 14, my bedroom was painted with tiger stripes. You could almost hear the roar of a tiger in the background.
  • Buff colored suede paint-that what I used on mine, white -looks fresh,a low intensity green or blue-relaxing and I like aubergine for some reason, too. You should just go with what you like:)
