2 teams, 11 players per team, 1 goalie, 10 others. 1 ball, 2 nets (1 either end) get the ball in the back of the opposing net, more times than your opponents get it in the back of your net. 10 players are only allowed to kick or head the ball. The Goalie is allowed to use his hands to pick up the ball (if inside his own goal area). play is two halves of 45 mins. Players swap ends at half time. If the ball cross the outside line of the pitch on either side, a thow in is awarded to the team which didn't contact the ball last. If the ball goes out of play, at either end, then either it is a goal kick (if the opposing side last made contact), or a corner kick (if the deffending side last made contact) - A goal kick is when the goalie places the ball on the ground in his goal area, and kicks it forwards. - A corner kick is when an attacking player, places the ball within the quarter circle at the corner flag, and kicks it towards the goal. There is a referee who controls play. if the referee thinks that a player was fouled he may stop the game, and award a 'free kick' to the opposing side. A foul is when a player attempts to get the ball, in such a way that he ends up getting the legs of the player, and not the ball. The Offside Rule - if a player is in the opposing half, and he passes the ball to another player on his own side, and, when the ball is struck, the second player is nearer the goal line than any of the opposing deffenders (apart from the goalie), then that second player is deemed 'off side'
