  • I don't think it's bad form - how is a barbeque not disrespectful if it's not OK to have a yard sale? Tell your stuffy neighbors where they can stick it. Easter I would skip because people would likely not come. But Memorial Day weekend? I just don't get it.

  • I dont think it is disrespectful, I have stopped at many sales, on the way back from camping, people do it all over the country. Easter, I would probably no do, most people have multiple places to go and are too busy.

  • I was raised in a strict Southern Baptist home and would not be offended that you were having a yard sale on Easter Sunday, but would find it a bit odd. Memorial Day, this coming Monday, not this whole weekend, is up to the individual choosing to hold the day sacred according to their own beliefs. We are sorry for the lost lives of those who fought for our country, but if we go out bargain hunting this weekend I don't think it makes us less respectful. Is a Christian less a Christian because they have Easter Egg hunt in their yard? In some countries, food is placed at the graves of the dead, in their honor. Americans tend to swell their own bellies with baby-back ribs and beer! Enjoy your yard sale. Wish we were there!
