Oops, you've found a bug-bear of mine. In this day and age, where we are meant to be over discrimination, we have a series of awards designed wholly for black people. The awards are not for minorities, or all coloured people, but specifically for black people. To answer your question properly, though, Many white people wrote the popular music of their time. Every nation can trace music back to their tribal days, so no, all pop music is not of black origin.

Yes, but they feel the insecure need to honor music produced soley by black people today. It's realy quite annoying, considering that if there were a similar award for all white people, plenty of people would surely complain and try to shut it down. Can you say DOUBLE STANDARD?
