Usually night creams are thicker, do not contain sunscreen, and usually contain treatments such as skin firmers and wrinkle reducers that are not appropriate for a day cream. For example: Alpha and Beta Hydroxy are usually not used during the day as they create a sensitivity to the sun, but can be used at night.
