  • In a union factory, if a worker performs a job that is not in his job description, he can get fired. It depends on the company, and what their policy/practice is. If it is common for people to share assignments and "delegate" then they should go along. If it is against the policy, then they should not. It also depends on who is doing the "delegating". If your boss asks you to do something that is normally his job, or your co-workers job, you probably would be better off doing it. Just keep track of the "extra" work you do to use at your next salary review.
