    In the AL it is Wes Ferrell of Cleveland
    with 9 homeruns in 1931.

    In the NL it has been done 4 times by:

    Don Drysdale, Los Angeles 7 in 1958

    Don Drysdale (again)Los Angeles 7 in 1965

    Mike Hampton,Colorado 7 in 2001
    and
    Don Newcombe, Brooklyn 7 in 1955

    For a single game it is Dontrelle Willis in 2006 with 3 home runs against the New York Mets after the Mets had clinched the division.
