  • No I think it is perfectly normal to squeeze the rotten bacteria embedded into the depth of your pores. Its nasty to leave it there.. aint nobody wanna stare at a greasy black head on your cheekbone or a huge head of white on your upper lip "pop that shit" WHAT "pop that shit!!!" Nah but seriously dont let it take up your day and do it when ur at the dressing room at Dots with their bright ass lights, or hold down your partenr everytime they at the sink trying to brush thier teeth when thier back is turned. Now when you start doin shit like that than perhaps you should slow your role.
  • True OCD people do things (move objects in a certain order, count things, can only have things in certain numbers i.e. 23 is a good number, but 49 is bad, etc., turn on and off lights a certain number of times, check and recheck if the doors are locked...) because they feel if they do not do them, the world will stop spinning or will cause a major catastorphe. So no, I don't think it's a part of your OCD, unless you have those feelings. It sounds like it's just a habit, that somehow sooths you.
  • Actually, this is very much rooted in OCD. I myself have been struggling with this problem for several years. It is embarrassing and many people do not understand the extent of the compulsion. After much research, I have just begun medical hypnotherapy for the problem. The process actually addresses the foundation issues that contribute to this OCD type behavior. I have also suffered from anorexia, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I have learned that these things and the face picking, are all manifestations of the same core issue. I have had years of talk therapy with minimal success. After only 3 sessions of medical hypnotherapy (out of 15 scheduled) I am already much better. There is help out there and I encourage you to be open-minded about the modalities that might be helpful to you.
