You question co-worker about a topic & if boss knew you asked it could cause problem, the co-worker then tells boss, the boss rows you, another person then tells you you should not have asked that coworker, she is not be trusted, would you feel silly?

No, you shouldn't. The untrustworthy coworker should feel like an idiot for being a nark. You confided in her and she proved to be dishonorable. That's not your fault for putting your trust in someone.
