The problem is not with the phone but with the network, and your environment. Since cell phone towers can only hold a certain amount of calls at a time, it could very well be that you are one of the more heavily trafficed towers in your town. It does sound as though the phone is working fine, but if it does still give you problems, you may want to go to a phone with a mast antenna, the antenna for a V3 Razr is on the bottom of the phone, which also brings me to this point: When holding the V3 in your hand, do not hold it around the bottom. That interrupts your signal and can cause that problem, also.
