• i get sad thinking when i first vote (and for the LP) that it will most likely not matter much...but don't switch yer vote even if we don't do great in elctions we cant win if we don't try..not to mention the more votes we get the more people weill start payin attention to us. Hell I know people that don't even know about this party what a shame

• Your answer makes me think you've never been to a Libertarian Party meeting. Maybe you should try it first.
  Which is not, by the way, to say your scenario would never happen. There is a lot of variety in the LP ... just no knowledgeable national leadership.

• Please remember Ron Paul returned to the Republican Party.
  His philosophy is, however, much closer to the LP than to whatever it is the GOP believes or pretends to believe.

• You are needlessly pessimistic.
  The LP could win, if the party "leadership" would move out of Washington, D.C., and return to the real world; if it would spend the party money more wisely reaching out to real people instead of to the centralized media moguls who will continue ignoring the LP.
