  • Georgia allows for a hardship license. It is intended for people to bypass the permit stage and/or age restrictions due to family situations. It is also used during suspended license situations. It is your only chance.
  • I though with a permit you could drive until like 9:00 pm or something cant you?
  • There is good reason for the wait; it will make you a better driver in the long run even though it doesn't seem like it right now. BUT you need to ask at your local DMV because laws vary with different states. Here in Alaska you must have your permit a year, then once you have a license - for the next 6 months you can only drive with a licensed driver over the ago of 21 in the car (no friends while driving on your own.) I am sure that this law has saved at least one young persons life, which life was that of my own son. His 16 year old girlfriend was killed driving last summer... sad but true.
