The battle rifle is hands down the best all around weapon because as Gizzy says it's great for long, medium, and short range. However, if you want the best combo then add the plasma pistol to the battle rifle. Charge the plasma pistol up then fire it immediately at enemies. Their shield will completely drop and it'
s easy to hit them because the plasma pistol has a tracking device on it just like the needler. As soon as you release the plasma pistol shot, quickly switch to battle rifle. One more shot and the enemy is toast.

Well it matters how u look at it
close range=energy sword
medium range=needler
long range=sniper rifle or beam rifle

For close combat I would say the shotgun.
Long range would be the sniper rifle.
For both, the battle rifle.

Okay.....the br is a real nice weapon,all u have 2 do is hit the enemy with a grenade than one shot 2 da head with da br and it will be game over......but in reality if u are good enuf with the sniper u culd beat any weapon with it.as long as u kno how to no scope u will be ok....so I have 2 say the sniper.....

It all depends on combination. Like if you have a plasma pistol with a BR, you can use the plasma pistol at full charge to take down their shields and then a well-placed BR shot to the head will take them right out. My favorite single weapon though is the Carbine. It's great for headshots.

I would have to say either the br, or my fist(beatdwowns) sometimes nades, but overall a combo of Br's and bashes.
