I was in an accident that caused frame damage to my truck. The insurance coompany is going to repair my vehicle, but can I go after compensation for the diminished value of my truck since I will now have to disclose it had frame damage?

    It is the responsibility of the insurance company to "make you whole" the instant before the accident. Lets say that your truck was worth $20,000 before the accident. After repairs, the resale value of your car would be lower (for example, $18,000) because your car has been in an accident. The insurance company should pay you that $2,000 that you can no longer receive should you attempt to sell your car.

    You probably have a valid claim here. Whether or not the dollar amount will be worth the hassle is probably something you should ask an attorney about.
