Help answer this question below.

My whole upper respiratory tract feels like it's badly bruised. Deep breathing hurts. This started 3 days ago. No other symptoms whatsoever. Any idea what's going on?

Sounds like it MIGHT be a broken rib or chest infection either way you should get it checked out.

go to the doctor ASAP could be pleurasy don't know that is spelled right but it is the inflammation of the lining of the lungs. I had it---very painful with each breath. Antibiotics took care of it

Sounds like a chest infection , go to the doctors you need antibiotics. Take care of any chest problems. Pneumonia can result from neglect and that is not to be taken lightly
