Bad Luck. the old wives said" the guardian spirits of the home will think you are opening the umbrella as their showers upon you are unwanted and they will disappear."

You'll bust the fire alarm, set off the sprinklers, get wet, and set yourself back a few grand. But at least you had the umbrella!

as with most superstitions it's bad luck, you never hear much of what superstitions bring good luck now do ya

I was always told you'd have nothing but bad luck if you openedd an umbrella indoors. I never have either:)
