  • I'm pretty sure you do, since my friends who are starting medical school were required to take certain college science courses to fulfill their pre-med requirements. In the United States, medical school and law school are graduate programs, whereas in many other countries (I'm thinking specifically of Europe and the Middle East) you start that professional training the minute you finish high school instead of completing a separate bachelor's degree.
  • As the person above said, different countries do different things. I'm aware in the US you need an undergraduate degree, in Australia some universities do a 4 year post grad medical degree after a 3 year undergrad degree, as long as you've taken certain science classes at undergrad, others do a 5 or 6 year degree medical degree after you leave high school - some do both. In New Zealand you can't do medicine as a graduate at one university - you have to have completed one year only of university.
  • Yes, you do, at least in the United States. I hope this helps to answer your question!
