Working on an oil rig. It's not a pretty job, but someone's got to do it, and the pay is fantastic.

Call centres or telemarketing, although they`re probably just as bad if not worse than fast food.

Well my first job was telemarketing. Not bad at all, as I was there for 2 1/2 years. It paid great, and I also had insurance (if you need it), vacation and sick pay, and commissions!

You did say easy place, not safe. Convenience store. I would not recommend this employment to anyone. Its too easy a target for armed robberies from drug addicts. If you have no job experience, stay with flipping burgers, until something better comes along. Its safer.

Lumber yards, hardware stores, garbage pickup companys. you just want a summer job, right? if you have muscles, then find a job that your muscles will be used and will help you get a job. trader joes likes muscled people to stock shelves. dairy farms, any farm just go out there and ask if they are hiring for the summer. when i was a young kid i got a dollar ten cents an hour with no over time, and i worked fifty hour weeks. so ask about farm labor wages if you go that route.
