Bridge necrosis is the name given to the way that infectious particals can be transfered from damaged or dead cells onto other normal cells.
This is the main route of the spreading of cancer from primary sites onto secondary sites.
Small amounts of damaged DNA get passed into the blood stream and they are then filtered by othe organs like the lungs, liver, kidneys and brain.
Another route of transmition is via the lymphatic system which is attempting to kill infections but in some cases it acts as a route for infectious particals to travel around.
