Cujo by Steven King. When the dog is ramming the car I always pee a little.
-
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original, NOT the remake). Scary movies don't really scare me, but I sat behind a cushion on my own wimpering and rocking slowly. It's scary because it is a true story
-
i love em all, but my current overall has 2 be....the amityville horror. (2004) scary as hell.....n my opinion
-
I think War of the worlds was great movie. It was espically scary in the movie theatre.

My faovite, because it was so scary, was the Blair Witch Project. The first time I saw that, I didn't want to go anywhere dark in my house! I never want to be deep in the woods....
-
The 6th Sense. AHHHH!!!! I didn't even want to sleep by myself!!
-
silent hill
-
I love Dawn of the Dead. Shotgunning zombies is the best.
-
the evil dead series. i can't take horror movies seriously and these movies do an excellent job of mocking them.
-
I dont have a favorite movie but I do have a favorite scary video, which is a true story and totally credible and was shown (some re-enactment) on the Discovery Channel. View at your own risk. These are two out of 3, on the 3 part they leave the house. Scared yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8Iuuv0SwDY&mode=user&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBgP6fHVbuQ&mode=related&search=

http://www.answerbag.com/q_view.php/75271 I answered it there. The Blair Witch Project.
-
The Nightmare on Elm Street series. Maybe it's cuz I grew up on Elm street.
-
None, I don't like horror movies. But I like the Scary Movies. They make horror movies funny.
-
It's a little known Spanish film called Los sin Nombres. It's the most disturbing film I've ever seen - It's translation is The Nameless. My friend took me to the Spanish film festival here in Manchester (UK) one evening and told me we were going to watch a Spanish comedy (she lied) as she knew I didn't like horror films. It took me ages to get over it and it still gives me the creeps.

I answered this (in a non-commited sort of a way!) here: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/84214

Fallen, with Denzel Washington. Love things that delve into the supernatural because you can't explain it away
-
Rosemary's baby, although i have several favourites.
-
High Tension, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and anything with Michael Myers. Thinking about the three of them scares me halfway to death.
-
The oldies are the best, to me. The Fly, 13 Ghosts, Dracula, Werewolf, Frankenstien...love the 'old movie' channel.
-
The Changeling: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080516/ I saw it when I was too young and it terrified me. Still think it's great. I love a good angry ghost story!

I like Trilogy of Terror, especially the little doll at the end.
-
Alien. My favorite part is when the baby alien is beginning to break through the guys chest and the other guys says: C,mon the food aint that bad.
-
Rosemary's Baby. Out of the newer ones I really like The Others and The Haunting- which is considered horribly bad to most, but I'm a sucker for fancy schmancy set design.
-
The Omen, the remake that was on theaters on 6-6-6. So creepy. The movie itself wasn't scary, but the suspence of the living antichrist in the boy was that freaked me out.

-
Its a tie between Dr. giggles and brain scan i think.
-
you'd have to break it down to sub genres including or excluding foreign, because america definitely hasn't been the frontrunner in horror over the years, the japs are some twisted people, and french and germans run a close second..but the original texas chainsaw massarce hitckcocks psycho just about anything from tartan asia extreme someone down there said last house on the left, great choice. funny games (german) as far as gore goes the evil dead series, dead alive, the descent, all the stuff eli roth did. the phantasm movies, ju-on tetsuo: the ironman eraserhead poltergeist oldboy the exorcist and the one no one ever includes and my number one vote. Jaws.
-
i almost forgot, ingmar bergmans - hour of the wolf...from sweden.
-
I haven't had a lot of exposure to horror films, but I think Alien3 makes the grade in that respect so that's what I'll pick. It's an underappreciated masterpiece of cinema, very gritty and horrible to watch - but in a good way.
-
I would have to go with the 1980 classic, The Shining with Jack Nicholson. The cast, the location, the simple but effective plot, and Jack Nicholson in a role which was made for him. I think the "Saw" movies will become as popular over time. Again well written, very clever plot and not "too Hollywood" with the special effects. Alien (1979) scared the daylights out of me when I first saw it, Aliens (1986) was a great follow up. The directors edition with the added footage tells more of the story. Another would be Event Horizon (1997)with Sam Neill. I thought the set was amazing after seeing so many space ship movies.
-
The original, Japanese movie Grudge. So, so creepy and 'wrong'.

I've a soft spot for The Ring - probably the first scary movie I watched properly - at home, by myself, late at night. It's a good story too - relying on hints of evil rather than masses of graphic gore.
