Sometimes, other times, not at all. I thihnk it just depends on if I know the person well enough to go out with them. If I know them well, then I usually don't think twice about it. If I don't know them at all and I just happened to ask them out, I usually get nerveous.

If this is a first date with someone, then it's quite normal to be nervous before the date. In fact, other people can usually spot two people who are on a first date quite easily just from the way they act (very rigid, giggling/laughter, and other various signs of nervousness). I have a feeling that your date is also quite nervous about the date. Unless, of course, this is your 50th date with this person, maybe you need to see someone about the social anxiety you have? But I'd be willing to bet that this is your first or second date.
