  • When I was a kid, yes... From Indiana: We used to visit my grandparents in Ohio, and vacation in Michigan until the year all the fish died in Lake Michigan. We started "traveling vacations" then... First in motels, then a mobile home. That year, we went to Canada, came down through New York, and then over to the east coast, then back to Indiana. Other vacations: Washington DC (That MIGHT have been the first one, but I don't think so.); I remember one out West... we saw Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon, I believe we went into Mexico, Colorado Springs, Las Vegas (never made it to the West Coast), the Black Hills, numerous TTs (tourist traps), etc.; And once to Florida, where we stayed for a week or so. For those, every state between, some "the long way" (meaning we didn't go straight there or back), etc. ;-)
  • I've been to dozens of other states and a few provinces in Canada and a few foreign countries as well.
