Actually according to folklore, parrots are brids of paradise, so they have this special quality, in India there is a bird called MYNA even this bird can repeat human sounds.
Its probably animal intelligence, for which we do not have any measure and we will not have powers like SOLOMON (the prophet) who used to speak to all birds and animals
