I have been scammed. The scammers didn't get any money out of me but I had to pay a bad check fee and then there was my time to report it to the secrete service, etc.

I haven't been scammed online but at one time a company I worked for had a lot of calls to different stores with people in africa wanting to order products and have them shipped and pay with a credit card over the phone. They got some stores to do it and then the company found out the credit card numbers were all stolen then the same people tried using relay call services to try to do the same thing. After a big Loss prevention investigation turns out Africa is very notorius for crimes of this nature, online and not. I wouldn't trust it

I think I may have been too close, but this shows the general design and the large nuggets are about 3/16" thick... the case is completely garnished all around with nuggets, has a speidel band, and a quartz timepiece with raised gold numerals and golden hands on an off white pearl like bezel.

I received the same exact form letter after selling a ring on Craigslist. We went back and forth a couple of times, as you did, but in the end I called them out and they never responded after that. One thing to note: MAKE SURE that your email address on Craigslist is not the same as the email address you use for your PayPal account, otherwise, you'll inadvertantly be giving them the information they're looking for. I'd change your passwords on all related accounts frequently for the next month as well.

    Hey Chris,

Level with me for a minute...you're telling me that you don't mind not having any authentication of the diamond or its value, but that you'e willing to send me $4100 without question for it? Obviously, you aren't from Tucson since you won't agree to meet (?), but I still need to know where it's being sent in order to confirm shipping charges for you as well.

    Thanks,
    L

If it's from Nigeria don't trust it or all of Africa for that matter. The latest African scam trend has been a move away from "African Locations" and pretend someone in Europe (often UK) has some situation where money is involved even though the scammer himself resides with in the African continent. This is because Americans have a tendency to trust someone with a European accent and a few believe having an English Accent gives them extra credibility. They pray on these pre-conceived but incorrect feelings people have.

I have a ring I'm trying to sell. So far I have heard from someone who wants me to send it Malaysia and another who wants it sent to Canada. Both willing to spend $1000 plus shipping for an item they haven't even seen. Obviously a scam.

I'm selling my ring on craigslist and i get a message from someone offering to purchase it for 800 dollars. She say she lives in the UK but the ring will be shipped to Nigeria where her husband resides. She is offering to send the money to money gram or western union and once i have received the money i can send the ring to the address. i'm wondering how do they scam me with this method.
