  • I can't quite believe I've spent the last 20 minutes researching this, but there we are! Before a man is born his testicles are formed in the abdomen and descend to the scrotum through the inguinal canal, a passageway that passes over the pelvic bone. They drag behind them a bundle of nerves, arteries, veins and tubes connecting the testes to the rest of the body. When the testicles receive an injury the pain travels up the nerves passing through the inguinal canal and into the abdomen, where it is felt as an unmistakable ache. http://www.tiscali.co.uk/lifestyle/healthfitness/menshealth/part1_2-1.html http://www.drhull.com/EncyMaster/H/hydrocoele.html http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/deanfulltexttopics.cfm?ID=42530&
