Good question. This is only a guess: Six is an even number to balance the cans. Six cans is probably enough to make one drunk. Six cans is easier to stack for trucking. The profit margin is probably higher for six cans of beer together, rather than two or four.
-
Because if you drink them regularly, that's the only time you'll see one on yourself?
-
Thank your local baker (if you can find one). Bake shops originated the dozen count. Most things since come in dozens, half dozens or multiples there of. A dozen dozen is a gross yo...
-
generaly in the u.k you can buy them indervisualy 1+ or in carboard boxes of 12,18or 24 the more you buy thr cheaper it gets.
-
they also come in 12 24 and other varieties such as 40oz lol i dont know probably cause 6 beers can get most people drunk or a pretty good buzz at least
-
So people can look at the Six-pack and they can say i wish i had a six pack, as in Muscles
-
its the shape and size that is convenient to carry. plus four six packs make a case. which is twenty four. the whole beverage industry works with dozens. switching to the metric system of five packs and ten packs would bankrupt the business. You can buy a five pack of beverage if you want. Just pop out one can and use that empty ring for a carry handle.
-
All the above answers are dumb, the real answer is: 5 for me 1 for you I thank you!
-
12-31-2016 Because trying to carry six cans individually is a bummer. They also come in eight, twelve, and 24 packs for the same reason.
-
The suppliers supply them that way.
-
Because there are 24 cans or bottles in a case. 6 cans are 1/4th of a case. Most all canned or bottled items including oil, and soft drinks come in cases of 24 which is a standard like there are 12 inches in a foot.
-
So you and I could split them, three beers a piece.
