"Madly in love" Those are strong words and emotions - and they've been with you a while. Take the risk and tell him. You'll regret it if you don't.

I just dont want to risk having it become akward between us, we're really good friends and next year he'll be a senior, I would rather just be really good friends, but its killing me that I havent done anything about it. My friends keep saying I should've told him by now, but I keep saying that I'll tell him before he goes to college. WHAT DO I DO?

I don't know that I'd say I was "madly in love" with someone who was insecure... Might scare them away. BUT, you CAN ask him if he's EVER going to ask you out. OR, you can ask HIM out. If he freaks, say it's just as "friends". Go get a pizza place, sit in the restaurant, and talk. As he becomes more accustomed to talking with you, he should loosen up some.
