    There is no right or wrong answer to this question. Car one could be cheaper to run than car two regardless of what fuel it uses. Generally diesel gives better MPG, but this is not always the case.

    Diesel fuel has a higher concentration of power compare to regular gasoline, but also cost about a dollar a gallon more.
