You're reading Is there a firefox add-on that will just sit in the status bar and warn me if i lose internet connectivity? i have tried searching the mozilla add-on site but i must not have hit the right add-on title to search for.

thanks, but what i'm looking for is something that will worn me when i loose my connection. see, sometimes while i'm working my computer drops the "supposedly" always on connection and i have to unplug my modem for a few seconds. if i'm on one web page that is already cached then i don't notice and my torrent downloads go flatline. some time, if they are off to long, they don't start up again.

ummm, sure. right after i finish this little cold fusion project i'm working on and cure cancer.
I am about as far removed from being able to create a program as it's possible to be and still have opposable thumbs.

Believe it or not, firefox extensions are not that hard to write. They're just javascript and XUL (think xml).
