  • If your heirs collect the insurance monies, yes. If you are avoiding taxes, debts of any kind, yes. Thats why alot of people think that Elvis is still alive.. his insurance policy was never cashed. There was an airplane and his pilot that made a flight to Canada the next day and returned within a time adequate to drop someone off and return, no reason given for the flight and supposed no passengers aboard. His daughter had made several trips to Canada with no known relatives or business there.

  • If you fake your own death to commit fraud, or allow your relatives to commit fraud (inherit, etc) than it seems like it would be. There may be a statute of limitations, but it would probably vary in each state.
  • f course it is. it is also quite sick to do that to your family.
