If wallmart is open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, why do they need locks on the doors?

Security reasons. If someone inside get shot then the police will need to cordon off the scene. The easiest way is to close the store.

They are not open 365 days a year. They close at 6pm December 24 and re-open at 6am December 26.

In case they ever want to change their scheduling. Not all Wal-Marts are 24 hr.

Situations do happen when a store needs to close reguardless if the are 24/7.

Yes. There are any number of emergencies that could occur and cause the closure of the business.

So when they get robbed there is privacy, and less witnesses to get hurt
