  • I have mixed feelings - it seems to me that no matter what we do, the wrong people will have guns. My biggest problem with people having guns in their homes is that some aren't responsible enough to keep the guns out of kids' hands.
  • Well, yes! I have a gun in my home, but not for protection purposes. It's a souvenir with no bullets. I think gun laws should be tightened because criminals have such easy access to them. Private citizens should be allowed to have registered firearms to protect their homes. I also don't think citizens should NOT have to face criminal charges when using these registered firearms to protect their homes and properties against home invasions.
  • I believe that guns should be available to American citizens who pass a backround check. I do not own a gun but i will. I think that people who dont want guns just think that if criminals didnt own guns there will be no crime, this is rediculous. Criminals will find guns no mater what the laws are. It would be better if everyone owned guns, and was protected.
  • I own several firearms. However I've been trained and have taught weapons classes. I feel that people need to be taught weapons basics and than be certified to show they understand the basic safety of control of a firearm before they are allowed to own a firearm. I am going to start teaching firearms safety and basics to a troop of Boy Scouts in about a month as a friend asked me to. And yes, I keep them all secured.
  • I believe all free people should be at all times armed. I would like to see all gun laws erased. Owning a weapon and comitting a crime are different issues. There should be no such laws which cloud or combine the two issues.
  • No I don't have a gun in my home. I have 19 guns in my home and I control all of them, not the government. I am a strong believer in the 2nd Amendment and will defend it's rights.
  • I don't own a gun presently, but i have in the past . I support the right for people to own guns even though it doesn't reduce crime one bit. I just like reading about idiots killing each other. I don't feel strongly about the subject because guns are rarely a part of my daily life and likely won't be. I think gun control is about ok the way it is. There certainly needs to be a better way to keep known felons from being able to purchase them easily, but with so many guns already in production, they are going to get a hold of them regardless. Gun nuts will keep hording them and most will likely be used on family or lovers or stolen by criminals to be used in crimes. Despite the fact that guns make the world a more dangerous place, I'm all for them, for the same reason I enjoy watching Lions chase down gazelles. Destruction is kind of cool.
