Here's one way to do it. differentiate s(t) to find the upward velocity v(t) solve for v(t)=0 to find the time t at whch the ball reaches the top of its arc. Substitute this value of t in s(t) to find the height. Solve s(t)=0 to find the time when the ball hits the ground. Substitute this value of t into v(t) to find the velocity.
