  • The speed of a bullet leaving a gun barrel will depend on multiple factors, such as the type of firearm (rifle or handgun), the length of the barrel, the size of the bullet, the amount of powder, and so forth. After the bullet has struck a target, such as the human head, the bullet may be stopped by the target or may pass through the target after causing severe damage. The bullet could be diverted in direction but most certainly it would be slowed by the target. It would be possible, in theory, for, say a very heavy bullet travelling at a reasonable velocity (such as a .600 Nitro Express) to travel through multiple human heads. Probably nobody has done this experiment but there may be some statistical data which would give an indication. The question really needs to be a bit more refined.
