  • Yes they do.
  • They do, but they usually aren't that obvious about it, though I am not going to go to a service and risk being hit by lightning.
  • Not only does the Church of Satan not worship the devil, they don't even believe in him. Technically speaking, LeVayan Satanism (which is the philosophy upon which the Church of Satan is based) is Atheistic; it's followers do not believe in any deities, Satan included. Satanists who do believe in and worship Satan in the literal sense should never be confused with LeVayan Satanists, whose beliefs center more around the natural human desires and imuplses which are commonly associated with the mythical figure of Satan, and which members of the Church of Satan believe are falsely characterized as "Evil" in other religions.

  • Noooo! If I hear someone actually ask this question again, I'm just going to say yes because I am so sick of answering it. I mean, I commend you for actually asking instead of assuming, but I am so sick of it.
  • No. The very idea of worship of anything is contrary to the philosophies of the Church of Satan. If LeVayan Satanists can be said to worship anything (which they technically cannot), they worship themselves. The Church of Satan is about challenging the status quo, herd conformity, blind obedience, and denial of basic human desire and nature.
  • No way. Worship is an act of the weak.
  • No, only the Traditional Satanists actually worship the Satan of the Bible. The Church of Satan is considered modern or secular satanism. They consider Satan to be an archetype or symbol that represents the ideas of Satanic philosophy. Various satanic ideals include self-interest, indulgence, an anti-herd mentality, and an emphasis upon rational self-interest.
