  • The United States census bureau estimates current wrld population to be, 6,528,051,823 of that 3,286,346,545 are men and 3,241,705,278 women, so slightly more men.
  • In the world as a whole, there are slightly more women, but by less than 1%. Slightly more boys than girls are born each year, but boys tend to die slightly more easily in childhood (so much for "the weaker sex"), to do more dangerous things in adolescence and early adulthood, and to do physically hard (and hence life shortneing) jobe in life. On the other hand, only women suffer deaths in childbirth. There are probably about the same number at age 30. Because women live longer than men by about four years, there are in total more women than men. However, except in the areas where the ratios have been deliberately distorted by selective abortion (India, China) the ratios are cloe wnough that no-one need worry abotu it.
