I also have an optical mouse, and mine would do the same thing. Most likely, you have it on a smooth surface, such as wood, or any other smooth surface. I was using mine without a mouse pad, and if the surface is not absolutely level it will move by itself, especially if you used furniture polish on the surface. Now, I put the mouse on a pad, but sometimes it will still move on it's own, but it helped a great deal. Simply try a mouse pad, and see if that will help. Good Luck ♣♠♦♥
