Why does it not hurt when you cut your fingernails?

    Because there are no nerve endings, kinda like when you cut your hair. Now if we cut our finger it really hurts because of the nerve endings.

    fingernails are dead skin cells, so the nerves are dead therefore you cant feel it.

    fingernails, like hair and teeth, are not alive. they are simply grown out cartilidge, and thus it feels like cutting plastic off your body.

    because the lining of your finger is placed with a very small amount of amalgaside which stops stains sticking between cleans :p sorry tried to sound smart then..i have no idea sorry
