I bought a 2002 Corvette 6 months ago and today it wouldn't start. The first time it did after about an hour, now it's happening again, the lights and all work fine but it won't start. What's wrong?

I just had the same thing occur yesterday in mine. I'm very interested in the answer. I have not had time yet to self diagnos but thought I had a battery problem when the wife told me about the car not starting after she backed it out of the garage and parked. So I put the charger on after it seemed like a battery problem. No luck with the charger and mine has a 3 month old battery. I had a problem with the old one going dead, thought I had a short. I had not had a problem for the 3 months, so figured it was just a battery gone bad. I now think I have short of some nature. That battery charger was jumping all over the place. On Sunday I'm looking into two areas , the drivers seat that is loose. could GM have run some wiring under the carpet that is shorting out and the starter. Would like to hear more from somebody else.

Not much info here. By "won't start" do you mean it will or won't crank the engine? I would start by having the battery checked. Lights mean nothing when trying to power a starter and electronic fuel system. Lights only require a few volts to operate, a starter or fuel pump require much more.

- What was the problem with your corvette.Mine is doing the exact same thing won't start had the battery tested and its fine.everything works when I turn the ignition on but when I try to start it it just clicks once
