    Sci-Fi or Supernatural, huh?

Try Hell Girl, Yu Yu Hakusho, and xxxHolic for Supernatural.

For Sci-Fi try Gankutsuou, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Last Exile.

I heard Elven Lied& When They Cry are similiar, though I can't say for certain since I havn't yet seen Elven Lied; and Yu-Gi-Oh! season zero (Toei animation's) was pretty good (sorta sci-fi/supernatural) while it lasted.. or until the darn cards came into play. Based on the anime you already watch, I go with the other person who recommended Yu Yu Hakusho- you'd like that show, definitely.

Death Note is good. Shakugan No Shana, Inuyasha, Earthian and Blood+ are good too. Vampire Knight has a second series coming out called 'Vampire Knight Guilty' so keep an eye out for that too.

I'd recommend Full Moon o Sagashite (not sci-fi, but definitely supernatural) or Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE. Both are amazing; Full Moon (Arina Tanemura) is a 7-volume manga or 52-episode anime about a twelve-year-old girl, Kouyama Mitsuki, who loves to sing but can't because she has throat cancer. She meets a pair of Shinigami (Takuto and Meroko) who...well, to continue would spoil the plotline. But it's both entertaining and very thought-provoking, whether you read the manga or watch the anime - I'd recommend both if you have the time, because each has a slightly different take on the whole story, but the manga tends to be deeper and more inclusive plot-wise.

Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE is by Clamp. According to http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/manga.php?id=2494 :
"Sakura and Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura are back, but they aren't alone. CLAMP's brought together characters from all their creations for this alternate universe tale about the story of Syaoran, a boy who must travel across worlds with the help of Fye, a magician fleeing his own world, Kurogane, a ninja trying to get back to his own world, and Mokona, a creature given to them them by XXXHolic’s Yuuko, to help on their journey. Together they search for feathers of Sakura's memory in order to save her life."
There are currently 18 volumes released in America, but 24 in Japan; the anime has two seasons (52 episodes), a movie, and 3 OAD episodes. While I haven't been able to see the movie yet, I definitely recommend the manga and what you can see of the anime - the second season leaves off around volume 15 of the manga, and the OADs continue only part of the story.

Death Note rocks! you should totally try it out! It's a little on the supernatural side and there's only 12 Vols, so it doesn't get too repetitive.

  • Have you read Read or Die? The manga is good- though it's only three books. The OVA's were excellent, though I haven't seen the TV show.

I'm also partial to Oh My Goddess, but that's definitely more on the love-comedy side!
