Help answer this question below.

I just saw this link on the side of an Answerbag page - How to Start Right in Cockfighting. Do you share my disgust and revulsion that links to animal cruelty sites should be offered by Answerbag?

Ridiculous! Though I would think that has more to do with google advertising than AB. Still obscene.

Dude, I accidentally clicked on that myself. It has nothing to do with chickens. Trust me, you don't want to go there man. I spewed right on the keyboard. Oh that should be illegal alright but for reasons other than animal cruelty. How do you get the images out of your head? And how did they hold that little sword like that?

I am so glad I didn't see that but even knowing it was there makes me ill. Shame on whoever allowed that to be shown.

Eeewwww. No, no, no. Shame definately in order.

Followed almost immediately by instinctual call to action. Must be someone at AB responsible for advertising .. and keyword associations that pull particular ad themes.

Dare I ask what the Q&A was about on the page that brought up the totally inappropriate ad?

I ask that because over on Google - within my gmail account? You can set things up to be notified of content on the web - or in news stories - or in blogs - re: a word or phrase of your choice. Works nicely for many of my interest areas. However, the "programming" is messed up in an area I suspect isn't selected by many so the bugs aren't worked out.

I've got one set for "oral history". At first, it worked like a charm and I'd get links to newspaper stories about high school projects or veterans projects who were doing community audio interviews .. or news of what a historical society was doing ... or a new collection to listen to at the Library of Congress, etc. Great. Recently, that's changed and it seems to be keying off teh "oral" part and I'm getting some downright disgusting links .. mixed in with the good ones. Pain in the neck!!

So this could be the way keywords are pulling ad content or something?

Ok, I'll be quiet now. This was just "yucky" - and I've just been dealing with "yucky" - so guess I needed to get it out of my system!!

Very much so, Brian. Disgusting is right. This is one of the few times I've been ashamed to be a member of this site.

It is disgusting even for AB where many down-rate support of animal rights.
