  • Yes, I have known someone. They are great in one on one situations, buthaving to speak in front of a crowd of any size seems to put them on edge. He is a magnificent person to just sit and talk to though. I know more than one person like this. They tend to be very knowledgeable people you lack social skills.
  • We all have different strengths and weaknesses. Some people are able to communicate very well and say absolutely nothing of value ..others may have difficulty communicating, but have a great deal to say..there are many people in government/politics who are gifted speakers, who lie, spin the truth, undermine, vilify and accuse..what good is that? If you care about content and focus on that, and if you are patient and don't make the person feel stupid, you may find great value in what he/she has to say, even though the communication skills are not ideal.
  • I knew a person with Cerebral Palsy who was smart enough to get a college degree. However, his job possibilities were very limited because he could barely get his spoken ideas accross. He interned for me for a few months on the computer. Hope he got a job in that field. I lost track of him.
