  • If there is anything in the way for a couple to get married in one particular state they should just get married in another state. The way I see it is that there really is no issue unless all the states have some sort of unanimous agreement excluding a certain branch of people from marriage.
  • I would contact the OC County Recorder's office for corroboration, but I do not believe you need to be married in the county, but it must occur within the state. The clergyperson or authorized individual, who performs the marriage ceremony is required by law to complete the marriage license and return it to the County Recorder’s Office within 10 days of the event for registration.
  • I'm an OC attorney. Your valid OC license is good for marriage anywhere in the State of California for 90 days. I also suggest a prenuptial agreement. It isn't romantic but your marriage has less than a 50% chance of lasting "until death do you part." Good luck. You are going to need it.
