Morals are learned, but conscience you are born with.

Moral values, just like prejudices, are taught. There are some instinctual reactions to physical phenomena, like pulling your hand away from a fire, or jumping when you get startled, that are inborn. Note that these are not morals-based, but reactions to stimuli.

Morals are learned in life.

I feel like this is something learned. There are a lot of moral lessons that I've learned over the years.

Morals can come from caution or experience. Or both. You can be TOLD things. Or you can learn them from experience. And some things.. you can just feel bad about. If you lie to someone. It can hurt. Why? Because you know that IF they knew, it would hurt them... and you care about them. It can happen even though no one TOLD you it was wrong. ~+~

Some things we're born with. Survival depends upon mutuality of certain basic instincts - to love, to protect, to support etc., If this is missing there's something wrong. We can learn morality but we are born with feelings. We 'know' waht's good or bad from the start.

I don't know if it's really in born in this generation or not..now I see alot 'me', mine and I. There's also alot of group agreement even when it has many debatable consequences, some still says it's ok- the majority may not totally agree on >> topics like sex, porn, violence etc..so what's learnt may not be what it appears to be..unless you know for yourself and have been in these situations before or being told by others.

great question!! http://www.sociopathic.net/rants/antisocial.htm excluding people with extreme forms of mental illness (psychopath, sociopath), normal, mentally healthy, people are born with an internal compass of sorts that allows them to recognize inappropriate behavior in themselves and others. do you recognized that you are being treated unfairly even if you weren't taught to? that is further built upon by familial training and social experiences. how we react to this training is up to the individual. guilt is only valuable if it causes us to alter our bad behavior. peace

Listen to your heart...literally! If you are about to steal something, your heart rate increases, and you begin to sweat, you get nervous and you know you are about to do something wrong. Deepak Chopra said it best in his 10 Tips For Staying Young: 1. Listen to your body's wisdom, which expresses itself through signals of comfort and discomfort. When choosing a certain behavior, ask your body, "How do you feel about this?" If your body sends a signal of physical or emotional distress, watch out. If your body sends a signal of comfort and eagerness, proceed.

The easiest way to know the answer to this Q is to watch the actions of small children. They clearly have no idea of right or wrong until they're taught that certain behaviours are unacceptable.

morals are learned, if you teach a kid that stealing is fun, he wont feel bad stealing.... once people reach a mature age they can decide for themselves whats wrong and whats right
