Most states it's 21.Sometimes they will make an acception if the person who's 18 has a credit card.During spring break and graduations they up the age to 25.They think it will put a dent in the party mode at there hotel or motel.Ya right.

In Britain, 18 is plenty old enough.

HI, I work in the horel field, and most hotels do have the limit of 21 to be able to rent I do think that Marriott does allow guest to be only 18 though!

In Canada 18 is fine and a valid credit card. Many places will allow cash with photo ID as well.

I rented rooms when I was 16.

You usually need a credit card. If you have one in your name and it is good, you are set. If you don't have a ccard most places will not take cash unless it is a place you might not want to stay.
