  • Humans eat many of the plants and animals on earth. A food chain is the order, in which things are eaten, It all depends on how you look at it, and what you are looking at, Examples In a pond you will have algae which is eaten by snails and other various small things which are eaten by fish and the small fish are eaten by the larger and the fish is preyed upon, by birds like eagles and osprey, Like a lizard eats and insect, the lizard is eaten by a snake, a snake is eaten by a hawk, or other animal the will eat snakes, In Africa, you have large carnivores such as lions, tigers, leopard, cheetahs, and hyenas which feed on mammals such as the zebra, gazelle and giraffe, which eat grass the feed on nutrient from the soil and sun. This leads me back to humans that consume many of the plants and animals on earth with no real predators.
  • Well, Humans really. But I suppose, others could be on top on the food chain, seeing as other animals (Lions, other wild cats and things) would eat/attack us if nessecary.
  • Which food chain? There are many. Remember, great white sharks seldom eat gray nurse sharks. And vice versa. Tigers don't eat polar bears, grizzly bears don't eat lions. Humans CAN eat any predator, but we generally don't. I'd say there is no real top predator on this planet.

  • In the ocean I'd say it's the sperm whale and the orca. In the arctic I'd say it's the polar bear. South of the arctic in North America I'd say it's the Alaskan brown and grizzly bears. In South America I'd say it's the anaconda. In Africa I'd say it's the lion when considering predators. In northern Asia I'd say it's the Kamchatka brown bear. In southern Asia my guess is the Bengal tiger. In fresh water I guess it's the crocodildo. :p
