I can't think of any states that I would want as a name. Maybe Tennessee... there have been plenty of those already, including Tennessee Tuxedo, that penguin guy with Don Adams's voice.

I used to have a friend named Georgia. I've also known a Virginia, and knew of a women named Montana... all of those work as female names.
Personally, I would choose either Montana or Wyoming. Both are different, but not unbearable to have as a name. I've never heard of a Wyoming but it could work as a name!

I have heard ppl giving their children state names because they were conceived there. Personally I think that is a little creepy! My niece is Sierra and if my brother would have had a boy it was going to be Dakota. My other nephew is Auston. So I guess we already have enough land names in our family!!;)
