Of course i'd do something! I've adopted many an animal that i've found on the side of the road or abandoned in a park. I think there were only 2 cases where the animal was so bad s/he had to be put down, which was very sad. But every other time i've had them fully checked and treated by a vet and taken them home as a new member of my family.

Yes, I found a injured deer on the road & pulled him away from direct traffic. I was picking my husband up from work & told him that if he was still alive (he was in bad shape) when we went back he had to put him out of his misery. I couldn't bare to shoot him myself. Thankfully he had passed by the time we got back.

Yep ! We found a dog ( A yellow Lab) in the middle of the road that had been hit by a car and left for dead. We stopped & picked him up and rushed him to an emergency vet center where they were able to stablize him and treat him until we could get him to a surgical specialist. The next day we took him to the surgical center and his pevis that had been broken in four places was repaired and he made a full recovery. We adopted him and he has a Great home now and is spoiled rotten : )

Several times. One was a hawlk that had been shot by someone that my husband found on his way to work. He grabbed the bird, stuffed him in his sidebags and quickly drove back home, shoving this bleeding wreck at me and driving off:-)

  • A couple of times. Once I was on a camping trip with my friends, and we saw a farm dog get hit by one of those huge trucks that carries a bunch of cars on it. The dog's poor arm was snapped right in half, and there was blood everywhere. Luckily, one of my friends is a vet, and he handled the situation pretty well. We called the cops and he got the dog to the nearest animal hospital.

Another time I saw a skunk that had been obviously hit by a car, but it wasn't dead. Just the lower half of its body was smashed to a pulp. I thought I was going to throw up when I saw it, but I still slowed down and ran over its head to put it out of its misery. :(

Saw a pup on the road. Bought a bag of dog food and feed the little guy. He was pretty much the happiest dog in the world after that.

a truck in front of me smashed into a deer, and just kept going, that poor thing was so messed up, I did the only thing I thought was right, and took it out of it's misery. with a broken spine, looked like a broken neck, it's rear end was demolished. I did only what I thought was right, then took the license plate number off the asshole that hit the poor thing and fled, gave it to the police.

omg, I stopped to help what looked like an emaciated stray kitty walking along the ditch, the cat ran off and I almost walked into a black and shocking yellow spider with a back the size of a golfball. I got spider issues with those wee lil white house types that nestle themselves into corner cocoons, the encounter cured me of such trivialities. This was my first and last experience chasing pussy

I found a weak cat in our street, I treated it and cared for a month. I tried to set it free but it didn't go so it turned out to be my pet
