although depending on the turtoise they may have varying diets, but generally turtles are mostly herbivors with appetite for the odd cricket., that said, the hare had a good helping of humble pie.

Terrapins (freshwater turtles) will eat reptomin/wardley food sticks, trout pellet, lettuce, shrimp, mealworms and crickets. Tortoises (land turtles) are mostly herbivorous, and can be fed green leafy vegetables and a small amount of fruit.

My turtle will eat everything and anything. My boys have fed him chocolate chip muffins, M+M's, apples... But we fed him turtle pellets, green leafy veggies, fruits, and he really loves the live shrimp, and just about anykind of fish you put into the tank. He never stops eating.

Our aquatic Painted Turtle eats Reptomin sticks, bits of lettuce, veggie sticks, algae, brine shrimp, minnows, goldfish, goldfish food (!), mealworms, and the occasional cricket. He really loves krill (but it's stinky).

We fed our turtles turtle chow or trout chow but gave them treats like raw ground beef, worms, lettuce and cray fish. These things make the tank very dirty tho so best to give it to them just before you are going to clean the tank.
